Do it NOW or NEVER do it at All

There is that one thing that most of us don’t seem to constantly remember, the fact that we walk this road but once. That every day that goes by brings us closer to our end and further from our beginning.

Many of us have developed the habit of pushing the things we need to do today to tomorrow forgetting that tomorrow is never promised.

One wise man's words ring true every day; "If you did not do it today, what makes you think that you will do it tomorrow?"

There is only one answer to the puzzle of life. Do it now. If it is that business you have been dreaming of starting, do it now. The time is ideal, and I am saying it in every sense of the word.

There might be no money right now but don’t tell me that there is no time. What you cannot directly do due to factors beyond your control, take time to study to the finest details so that money finds the dinner table well laid and the stomach ready to digest.

This road is walked but once. Every day that finds you alive is the last chance to turn those dreams into a reality, to overcome the fears that have always been plaguing you.

If you were never kind to someone and you wish that things were different, go back, and be kind to them. If you never stayed true to the vows or promises you made, walk back the time and make sure you fulfill your end of the bargain.

I have personally witnessed the burial of tens of people my age or younger, and I’m sure the same can be said of everyone here. This just goes to show that the fact that you are alive is not because you are not expendable but rather because you are lucky.

This circuit is in motion and none of us know when it will be abruptly cut short because unlike Sara Teasdale’s poem, time is not necessarily a good friend to make us all old. Some of us will not see the sunrise tomorrow and that is the truth of life.

The Christians in the house might be fleetingly familiar with the bible verse that explicitly mentions the life of man to be short and full of trouble.

It seems impossible but we all know at the back of our minds that the reason we wrestle with death is simply because we have never come to terms with what we would do should this sneaking thief suddenly catch up and hold us tight in its snare.

Accept it or not, we are the lucky ones. We are the ones that still have a chance. For others, it is too late to ride the wave of life, but how many would recognize this?

It was never supposed to be easy, but those who learn to surf the wave will never regret the high tides. Those who fear to drown are legitimate in their fears because indeed the high tides shall consume them.

Whatever it is you have always wanted to do with your life, do it now when you have a chance or never do it at all.
